Fuller Bust Lingerie for Valentine’s Day

Ladies (and men too) don’t let lockdown ruin the romance for your relationship! Now, I am by no means encouraging any breaking of national lockdown restrictions. If you are unable to lawfully see your partner physically, get creative instead! Valentines Day is an annual celebration of love, and there’s much more to it than wearing sexy lingerie, but hey – that’s not a bad place to start…

As we know, finding supportive and sexy lingerie that makes you feel comfortable is a bit of a challenge, but it’s not impossible! We’re going to highlight a few items you should consider putting on your shopping list for this Valentine’s Day.

Tutti Rouge – ‘Alicia Body’

A specialist fuller bust lingerie company, with the most amazing blogger babes who advertise their products on social media. This is a company I’d recommend you spend some time perusing their website, I guarantee your shopping cart will fill up very quickly!

As for Valentines Day, the Alicia Body would be my suggestion. A gorgeous bodysuit with caged detail around the bust and a deep waistband to hold you in. Perfect for both a night in with bae, or a night out on the town paired with some jeans. At only £24, it’s a steal.

Panache – ‘Alexandra Balconnet’

Maybe I’ve been hiding under a rock, but Panache is a new brand I’ve come across and I’m pleasantly suprised with their products!

The Alexandra balconnet bra would be a great addition to your lingerie drawer, even beyond valentine’s day. The sheer finish and intricate floral embroidery across the bust ooze luxury, so you are guaranteed to feel like the queen you are! This bra retails for £46 and combined with the matching coral high waisted briefs, the full lingerie set will set you back £74.

Curvy Kate – ‘Scantilly Black Magic Plunge Bra’

Curvy Kate is never far from mind when discussing all things fuller bust. The thing I love about this brand is their inclusivity celebrating all things curve and the wide range of sizes on offer – key for a fuller bust.

The Scantilly Black Magic Plunge bra is a sultry sheer bra, with sheer overlays creating a plunge crossover style that leads to 3 combined straps at the back. The crossover style should help secure, lift and shape your bust. Whilst providing a great deal of support, my only concern is the 3 straps at the back could create some discomfort if worn for a long period of time. This bra is priced at a rather reasonable £44 and is one that could be used for an ‘underwear as outerwear’ style if you’re feeling risqué.

Katherine Hamilton – ‘Abbie Vintage Rose Eyelash Lace Bra

So I thought I’d leave this brand till last, so you can brace yourselves for the average price of their lingerie. Don’t get me wrong, the designs are beautiful but I personally would only spend over £100 for a bra if it were for my wedding. With that being said, Valentine’s Day is a very special occasion to some and you might be comfortable spending that amount. Furthermore, Katherine Hamilton describes themselves as a luxury brand specialising in small band, big cup bras and there are few brands that do, so it is worth checking them out.

The bra that caught my eye on was the Abbie Vintage Rose Eyelash Lace Bra which costs £108. The gorgeous rose/dusky pink colour would look great on all skin tones. The satin buttons on the inner side of the cup stand out to create a romantic, timeless look. This is understated luxury at its finest. In terms of support, Katharine Hamilton have custom underwires designed specifically for fuller busts which are said to create optimal comfort and support. Now that, is priceless.

So what do you think – will you be purchasing any of these suggestions for your valentines or ‘galentines’ days plans this year? Let us know your thoughts, or if you’ve tried any of these products yourselves. And of course, Happy Valentine’s Day!

Let’s talk about Sleep: Best Sleeping Positions for a Fuller Bust

Sleep – Our favourite hobby, particularly while in the midst of a pandemic! It also happens to be one of the most important things that contributes to our health. Health professionals recommend 7 to 8 hours of sleep per night for adults. For many people, this is never met – largely due to spending hours trying to find the most comfortable position. For us fuller busted ladies the problem is twofold (literally) as we have to get our breasts feeling comfortable too.

We’re going to talk through some of the best sleeping positions that will have you falling asleep in 3..2..1

Back

The back sleeping position is not the most popular. However for a fuller bust, it makes the most sense. Sleeping on your back means a well deserved break from the weight and pressure of your chest, so is a great way to alleviate back pain – a win win if you ask me. In addition, it puts your chest firmly out of sight out of mind so you can concentrate on falling into a serene slumber. If you want to make the most of this position, try putting a pillow underneath your knees.

Side

The side sleeping position is perhaps the clear choice, and my personal favourite. Don’t just take my word for it, the side position is the most popular for Brits everywhere! Similar to the back, it takes a bit of pressure off your breasts though not quite as much. Now the problem with this position is your boobs will be squashed together with one on top of the other – it sounds a lot worse than it feels! To solve this, you can put a pregnancy pillow underneath your breasts for added support. There is also such a thing as a breast pillow – yes I couldn’t believe they existed either! They’re designed to separate your boobs when lying on your side hence reducing the risk of wrinkles and provides additional support. Quite a genius idea but try and shop around for the best price as some can be expensive.

Front

Now I know what you’re thinking – why on earth would a fuller bust woman want to sleep on her front and commit boob suicide? It’s actually not that bad. I too used to be a non-believer of the front sleeping position, but I tried it once while on my period with a hot water bottle underneath my stomach and a pillow propped under my chest and it was great! When I have really bad cramps it’s my go-to position. To make this position work, once again bring out the pregnancy pillow or any pillow for that matter, which you can use to support your boobs. There are special pillows which have so kindly carved out space for this.

I’d recommend trying out at least one these sleeping positions that is different from your usual go-to. Who knows, you could even find a new favourite. Get in touch below or here and let us know how you find them!
